Malindi Media are currently in development on a range of nonfiction projects: from the trade of rare minerals, to ocean therapy.
Mark Hopkins has produced and directed groundbreaking documentaries on topics ranging from US Presidential candidates to humanitarian action in war zones. His work has received multiple awards, including Oscar Shortlist for Best Documentary for Living in Emergency.
After working for Scott Rudin at Paramount on projects such as The Truman Show and A Civil Action, Mark specialised in non-fiction storytelling for cinema. Working with director George Butler, Mark developed and produced a series of award-winning films, including Going Upriver: the Long War of John Kerry, The Endurance: Shackleton’s Legendary Antarctic Expedition, and the IMAX Roving Mars. Premiering at Venice, Living in Emergency took him to war zones across the world, witnessing the struggle to provide vital medical care in extreme conditions.
Other work includes an 8-part series for the World Bank on fragile trade in the DRC, Tanzania, and Zambia; the feature museum installation “ZeitzMOCAA”, about Africa’s first contemporary art museum; and Creating the Future, a feature documentary exploring the creation and legacy of Expo City Dubai.
Eliza Dundas is a London based producer. After achieving her Masters in Ethnographic and Documentary Film from UCL, Eliza turned to the world of short films to improve her production skills. Eliza began her career at Radical Media working on a broad range of projects, including producing a commercial for The BBC Proms. She went on to help produce Marc Isaac’s feature documentary This Blessed Plot and, after joining Malindi Media, was an associate producer on Mark Hopkins’ Creating the Future, running shoots across the world from Florence to Kuala Lumpur.
